  9.  AB    In this paper stochastic simulations of a model for AIDS pathogenesis
  10.        developed by Nowak and coworkers are presented. The results reveal a
  11.        strong dependency on initial conditions, and the model predicts a
  12.        nonmonotonic hazard rate for the transition to AIDS. Doubts are raised
  13.        concerning the significance of the antigenic diversity threshold, since
  14.        it only partially characterizes the model dynamics.
